The SFM au rural, formerly known as the Réseau communautaire, was established in 1993 and has a mandate to promote the development of each Francophone community in Manitoba, according to its real needs.

The team assists Francophone organizations and communities in directing more funding to the communities by acting as a liaison to encourage dialogue and partnership building.
